Research

Mayo Clinic researchers are committed to improving diagnosis and treatment of hepatic encephalopathy. Mayo researchers were among the first to identify metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease and primary sclerosing cholangitis. Mayo researchers also are making significant contributions to understanding the causes of liver diseases and developing new treatments.
