阴道发生感染或阴道刺激和肿胀（称为炎症）时，发生性行为可能令人很痛苦。性行为可能会使您的症状加重。如果您患有性传播感染，您可能会将感染传播给您的伴侣。

阴道感染最常见的病因包括：

  • 酵母菌感染，也称为念珠菌病。
  • 细菌性阴道病。
  • 滴虫病。

酵母菌感染和细菌性阴道病不是性传播感染。即使未发生性行为，您也可能患上这些状况。但这些状况更有可能出现在发生性行为的人身上。

如果您患有细菌性阴道病，请等到感染消失后再发生性行为，或在性交时使用避孕套。如果医疗护理专业人员诊断出您患有持续性酵母菌感染，那么您发生性行为是可以的。
