Biographical summary
Scott Christopher Calder, D.O., is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for medical education and wilderness medicine. Dr. Calder previously worked on ski patrol in Park City Utah and developed a strong interest in pre-hospital and austere care. The combination of his pre-medical experiences and his training in Emergency Medicine inspired him to begin a fellowship, which he is currently pursuing, through the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. Beyond wilderness medicine, Dr. Calder is deeply involved in medical education. He serves as the Emergency Medicine Interest Group Advisor and frequently teaches medical students on shift. His background combines hands-on field experience with academic engagement, allowing him to bridge practical skills with formal training.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Calder contributes to the preparation of emergency medicine residents for oral board examinations. He has worked with the American Academy of Emergency Medicine to prepare residency graduates for their examinations. His dedication to teaching and mentorship reflects his broader commitment to the growth and success of future physicians.
